Exploring the world of flamenco guitar

The flamenco guitar course led by Antonio Andrade is a unique and highly beneficial experience that immerses students into the captivating yet complex world of flamenco. It focuses on deep learning and comprehensive understanding of flamenco art through the instrument of the guitar.

Antonio Andrade's pedagogical approach is characterized by its holistic nature, going beyond just teaching techniques and chords. His aim is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of flamenco music, its history, cultural roots, and artistic expression. Classes are not limited solely to the study of the guitar. Students have the opportunity to participate in dance classes as well. This allows them to understand how music and dance are intrinsically connected in flamenco, and how the guitar plays a fundamental role in creating the atmosphere and rhythm that form the basis for dance.

This course is closely connected with our dance, singing, and rhythm & beat courses. Special attention is paid to the styles that will be studied in choreography classes, such as Guajira, Tangos/Bulerías, and Fandango.

The technique of flamenco guitar is complex and requires a thorough and direct approach: from the correct posture to the precise execution of techniques such as rasgueos, arpeggios, or trémolos to understanding the connection with singing and dancing. Students have the opportunity to apply what they have learned both in dance and singing.

Classes are dynamic and interactive, fostering collaboration among students and the exchange of ideas and experiences. Antonio Andrade is not only a master of the guitar but also a mentor who guides and motivates his students on their musical discovery journey.

At the end of the course, students will have gained a deep understanding of flamenco guitar, as well as a broader appreciation of flamenco art and culture as a whole. With the acquired knowledge and post-course work, they will not only be able to interpret flamenco music with technical finesse but also convey the emotion and passion that characterize this unique and fascinating genre.
